Africa-Press – Kenya. Siaya Governor James Orengo has called on the Kenya Kwanza government to uphold multi-party democracy.

Addressing a gathering in Muhala, Siaya, on Saturday, the governor emphasized that as a democratic state, they will not tolerate any tactics to undermine the opposition leadership of the Raila Odinga coalition.

The county boss stressed the need for a thorough and clear examination of any legislation rather than hasty declarations on serious issues.

“Kenya is guided by key main pillars like the constitution that includes devolution, democracy, multi-party state, and good governance,” Orengo stated.

He underscored that these principles do not permit any leader to impose draconian legislation that infringes on the rights of Kenyans.
