Africa-Press – Kenya. Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna has assured that the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition is not going to interfere with private businesses and companies. Sifuna said they do not have any issues with President William Ruto’s properties, but rather with him personally.

The remarks appear to be a promise to not retaliate after an earlier invasion of East Africa Spectre Limited along Mombasa Road and the Kenyatta family-owned land along the Eastern Bypass, Ruiru.

“We have given unequivocal instructions to our supporters that no private business or property is to be touched. It’s not as if we don’t know where properties owned by Kenya Kwanza minions are located but that’s not our beef,” he said.

“Our beef is with Ruto, not his hotels.”

Earlier in the day, chaos was witnessed at the Kenyatta Northlands Farm after dozens of unknown persons gained access to the area, destroyed property and stole sheep.

The over 11,000 acre-farm hosts the Uhuru Kenyatta Secondary School, which together with Peponi School occupies 86 acres. The Raila Odinga family-linked EA Spectre was also visited by unknown persons, who are believed to have targeted the managing director.

The incidents drew mixed reactions online, with some arguing that the invasions would scare away investors. The Northlands City is a Sh500 billion-shilling project estimated to host up to 250,000 residents.

This is according to a progress report and Strategic Environmental Assessment, which also shows that the business district will occupy 390 acres. EA Spectre serves 11 countries and has at least nine clients including Total Energies. Following the incidents, the Weston Hotel has been trending on Twitter.
