Africa-Press – Kenya. A team of police officers of the rank of Commissioners of Police mobilized their colleagues to raise funds for two students whose parents were unable to raise their school fees.

Victoria Ndung’e Musau and Lilian Ikal Losike will now be able to join their respective secondary schools following the good gesture by the police.

Despite scoring good marks in KCPE, Victoria failed to report to school as expected during the early reporting days and that’s why the police had to chip in.

“Her plight caught the attention of a team of police officers of the rank of Commissioner of Police when she did not report to school as expected during the early reporting days,” NPS said.

They mobilized their colleagues and raised funds that saw the girl admitted to her favourite school, Muthale Girls High School in Mbooni Constituency.

They were also able to cater for additional admission requirements for the girl, including books and personal effects.

Deputy Regional Commander for North Eastern Joseph Musyoka Nthenge accompanied the girl to her school.

Kisii County Police Commander Francis Kooli had also mobilized friends to fund the education of Lilian Ikal Losike, a former pupil at Korinyang Primary School. Lilian scored an impressive 366 marks.

Lilian secured a chance at her school of choice, St. Bridgit Girls, Kiminini.
