Africa-Press – Kenya. First Lady Rachel Ruto has sent a heartfelt birthday message to President William Ruto, celebrating his life, leadership and family role. In her message on Sunday, Rachel thanked God for her husband’s journey and expressed gratitude for the years they have walked together.
“My dear Bill, happy birthday!” she wrote, before reflecting on his character and commitment to public service.
“Today, I thank God for the gift of your life, for the journey we have walked together, for your courage in moments of uncertainty, and for the steady love and discipline with which you carry the weight of leadership,” she said.
Rachel praised Ruto’s dedication to Kenya, saying she had witnessed his sacrifices as head of state. “I have seen your heart for Kenya, your tireless commitment to serve, and the quiet sacrifices that often go unseen,” she noted. She also prayed for his health, peace and renewed strength as he marked another year.
“As you mark another year, my prayer is that God grants you good health, inner peace, and renewed strength. May He surround you with wisdom, protect your steps, and reward your labour with hope for our nation and joy in our family,” she stated.
Rachel closed her message by expressing love and appreciation, describing the President as a leader, father and husband. “With all my love and gratitude, I celebrate you, not only as a leader, a father and a husband, but as the man God has entrusted to us,” she said.
The brief public message highlighted the First Lady’s personal reflection on her husband’s role in the country and their family life as he marked another birthday.
Ruto was born on December 21, 1966, in Sambut village, Kamagut, Uasin Gishu County, to Daniel Cheruiyot and Sarah Cheruiyot. He and Rachel got married on December 21, 1991. They’ve been blessed with seven children: Nick, June, Charlene, Stephanie, Cullie, George and Nadia.
Several leaders have also wishes him a happy birthday. Government Spokesperson Isaac Mwaura also sent a faith-based message, wishing the Head of State a happy birthday and praying for divine guidance and protection.
Mwaura said President Ruto’s leadership remains critical as the country navigates economic and social challenges, adding that Kenyans continue to look up to him for steady leadership.
“May our dear Lord continue to guide and protect you as you serve and lead this great country Kenya,” he said.
National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula said the President’s renewed vision and boundless opportunities for the nation continue to inspire the citizens.
“Happy Birthday President (Dr.) William Ruto. May this year bring you strength, wisdom, and joy as you continue to shape Kenya’s future,” he said.
“Here’s to another year of greater leadership, service, and progress for Kenya. Wishing you a remarkable day my brother Mr President”.
