Africa-Press – Kenya. ODM leader Raila Odinga has arrived in Kigoto Suba for the opening of Kigoto maize milling plant.
Raila arrived in a chopper and he was welcomed by Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga.
In August, Wanga had promised to complete all stalled projects started by her predecessor Cyprian Awiti. Kigoto maize milling plant is one of them.
She said the projects were funded by taxpayers’ money and she would complete them to benefit residents.
The other projects were Arujo Animal Feeds and Homa Bay County Stadium.
“Homa Bay people yearn for development and I want to assure you that we’ll do our best to deliver. We know our priorities and the people of Homa Bay will see the difference,” Wanga said.
Wanga had asked residents to be patient as her administration addresses the challenges, saying she took over a government with a bloated wage bill.
