Africa-PressKenya. ODM leader Raila Odinga on Thursday, June 17, responded to his Wiper counterpart Kalonzo Musyoka’s statement on a show on NTV.

Speaking during the launch of Cath Lab in Mombasa County, Odinga hit back at Musyoka saying that he had not expressed interest in vying for the top seat in 2022.

Odinga added that he had not asked Musyoka for any support.

“They have started barking,” Raila begun.

“We are focusing on the issue of BBI. The Courts put us [sic] BBI on Halftime, Reggae has not stopped, it has gone on halftime” Raila asserted.

The ODM leader was responding following utterances made by Kalonzo that he would rather retire than support him for a third time.

“…if I don’t run now when do you expect I will run,” Kalonzo posed.

The former vice president mentioned that it was up to the Orange Democratic Movement to rebuild trust amongst members of the National Super Alliance.

Both Raila and Kalonzo attended the late Kibwezi MP, Kalembe Ndile’s funeral on Saturday, June 12.

Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu, who also attended the burial advised the duo to unite ahead of the 2022 presidential elections or risk losing to Ruto.

The former premier confirmed that he was willing to work with Kalonzo to ensure that the leaders are not elected at the burial of the previous Member of Parliament for Kibwezi, Kalembe Ndile.

On his part, Odinga stated that he was ready to work with Kalonzo, noting that their collaboration would ensure that the Country’s leadership is in the right hands.

“We will stand together to get rid of corrupt leaders,” Raila addressed.

During the burial, Raila Odinga eugolized Kalembe Ndile as genuine Hustler. He retorted that Ruto was not a Hustler and that Kenyans would be fooled if they believed that.
