A new dawn was marked on Sunday as the county assembly of Bungoma got a new building.
As part of his Western region tour, President William Ruto in the morning officially commissioned the building which had been under construction.
The President stated that county assemblies must be visible in designing solutions to the challenges facing Kenyans.
“They must endeavour to deal with important issues of the day and ensure that public money is spent prudently and efficiently,” Ruto said.
He lauded the Assembly for prioritising people issues through its central focus on public participation.
He opened the county assembly building before holding inter-denominational prayers at the Bungoma airstrip.
