Africa-Press – Kenya. President William Ruto has reaffirmed his commitment to uniting all Kenyans, emphasising that national cohesion is vital for the country’s progress and prosperity.

Speaking during a Sunday service at PCEA Joshua Matenjwa Memorial Church in Limuru, the President declared that one of his core missions as Head of State is to foster unity across all communities, regions, and walks of life.

“I want to promise you, as a leader of this country, I will do all I can, with God’s help, to unite all Kenyans,” Ruto said.

Quoting from the Book of Psalms 133:1-2, the President underlined the biblical call for unity, stating “It is good when brethren live together in unity,” and further emphasised that, “Where there is unity, God commands a blessing.”

He reiterated that unity is not just a spiritual value but also a national necessity, assuring Kenyans that he would continue working towards bridging all divides—ethnic, political, and regional.

“And it is because of that, as a leader of this country, I will unite all Kenyans from all corners, counties, and communities,” he added.

Ruto also called upon all Kenyans to support his efforts to build a nation bound by shared values, vision, and destiny.

Turning to matters of development, the President assured the people of Kiambu County that he remains committed to fulfilling all pledges made during his campaign.

He listed agriculture, education, healthcare, electricity connections, and road infrastructure as key priorities raised by residents during the 2022 general election campaign.

“We will have another meeting again soon and look at the agreement we had. We want to see where we are in the assignments you gave me,” he said.

The President’s remarks come at a time when national unity continues to be a key concern in Kenya’s political and social landscape.

His administration has emphasised bottom-up economic transformation, improved service delivery, and inclusive governance as avenues for building a more united and equitable nation.
