Africa-Press – Kenya. President William Ruto’s administration has made changes to various boards of state agencies as he continues to consolidate leadership.

In a gazette notice dated September 14, the president appointed three new members to the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.

The new members who will serve for a term of three years include Isha Anand, Bernard Kimutai Maiyo and Beatrice K.M. Amugune.

The president also appointed former Bumula Mwambu Mabonga to be the Chairperson of the Non-Governmentals Organization Co-ordination Board, for a period of three years.

This came months after Ruto named Mabonga the chairperson of the Insurance Regulatory Authority for three years.

Moses Njenga will take over from Mabonga at the Insurance Regulatory Authority.

At the same time, Information and Communications Technology Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo made changes to the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication Board(KIMC).

Owalo named Valentine Khaminwa, John Kieru and Wambui Kizito Chesesio as the new members of the Council.

National Treasury Cabinet Secretary Njuguna Ndung’u appointed Ibrahim Mohamed Salati as a member of the Board of Directors of the Retirement Benefits Authority, for a period of three years.

Trade and Industrialisation CS Moses Kuria named Neddy Jeruto Kiptoo as a member of the Board of Directors of the Anti-Counterfeit Authority, for a period of three.

Johnstone Kengethe Kinyua will be a member of the Board of Directors of the Kenya Institute of Primate Research, for a period of three following his appointment by Health CS Susan Nakhumicha.

She also appointed Luka Kiprop Chemwolo and Mary Nyokabi Kamau as new members of the Kenya Medical Research Institute for three years.

In the gazette notice, Cooperatives CS Simon Chelughi appointed Benson Njoroge Ndungu to be a member of the Board of Directors for the New Kenya Planters Co-operative Union.

Tourism CS Peninah Malonza appointed Chris Foot, Helen Wanjiru Gichohi, and Tom Silvester, to be members of the Kenya Wildlife Service Board, for a period of three.

Jennifer Mwangangi was named as a member of the Board of Directors of the Financial Inclusion Fund Advisory Board, for a period of three years.
