Africa-Press – Kenya. UDA presidential candidate William Ruto has slightly triumphed over his Azimio opponent Raila Odinga in Garsen Constituency, Tana River County.
Ruto got 17,853 votes while Raila bagged 17,200 votes.
In third place was George Wajackoyah of Roots’ Party who polled 148 votes while Agano Party’s David Mwaure got 43 votes.
Releasing the results on Monday, IEBC said the area had 55,453 registered voters.
The valid votes were 35,244 while 411 were rejected ballots.
