Africa-Press – Kenya. President William Ruto has said that plans are underway to add over 28 women in Parliament to achieve two-thirds rule.
He said that plans will be underway in the next four months and in a year or a year and a half, two-thirds will have been met.
“So that more women can join us in the National Assembly and in the Senate and that women leadership can occupy their space in the leadership of the Republic of Kenya,” he said.
“We are going to have between 25 and 28 women in the next one year joining our national assembly so that they can provide the much-needed women’s leadership in the Republic of Kenya in Kenya.”
