M-Pesa Go will allow subscribers to send and receive money, purchase airtime and bundles, use Lipa na M-Pesa services and access M-Pesa Super App dubbed as ‘M-Pesa Go App.’
Safaricom CEO Peter Ndegwa said the service will be oversighted by parents or guardians to raise a financially healthy generation.
“The service seeks to empower parents and guardians to raise a financially healthy generation who are prepared for a cashless world,” he said.
Ndegwa said the current generation has been born into technology, the internet and a cashless world, adding they are seeking inclusion and independence in this digital world.
