Africa-Press – Kenya. Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has arrived at State House, Nairobi, for a meeting with President William Ruto. He arrived at 10:00 am and was received by the President.

“This is your first time in Nairobi?” Ruto posed and Loong responded saying it is his first time in Kenya. Loong arrived Wednesday and is in the country for a two-day official visit.

The two will hold high-level talks that will revolve around ways of fostering trade and investment facilitation between the two nations. They are also set to sign a bilateral cooperation memorandum of understanding (MOUs) during the State House meeting.

Loong is accompanied by several ministers from his administration led by Vivian Balakrishnan (Foreign Affairs). A statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs says the prime minister will also have a business roundtable with delegations from the two countries.

“Singapore has well-developed financial and industrial sectors that enhance the country’s position such as the World Trade Centre,” the ministry said.
