Africa-Press – Kenya. University of Eldoret (UOE) ‘Pipers’ return to the city for three Kenya Handball Federation KHF) league matches at Nyayo Stadium.
Richard Ochieng’s charges, who joined the league late, were in Nairobi over two weeks ago, where they lost all their three matches on the card.
“I can assure you that we are building a team that every coach shall fear to face in the near future,” Ochieng offered.
He went on: “Slowly but surely, we shall be there. I appreciate the small baby steps we are making as a team.”
He observed that the side will have to do so much, especially on defence and at the same time improve on set pieces and speed.
UOE will start off their three-match tour with a game against bottom side Young City. They will then meet second-placed Ulinzi and Spartans on Sunday.
In other matches, Spartans face Desert Warriors while in the women’s fixture, Net Navigation play Nairobi City Council (NCC) and Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT).
On Sunday, third-placed Black Mamba will come roaring as they face Spartan. They are expected to close in on Ulinzi with a win. Desert Scorpions meet JKUATS while sixth-placed General Service Unit will square it off with Kenyatta University.
The only women’s match of the day will see KU come face to face with Net Navigators.
