SMF supplies M2,000,000 to the Army

Africa-Press – Lesotho. The Sam Matekane Foundation (SMF) has donated M2 million to a military hospital – Makoanyane – to strengthen its services on Tuesday. The equipment includes a complete ambulance, wheelchairs, medicine tables, bed sheets, beds for the critically ill, large laundry machines, and counters.

They also flooded the army with a complete uniform of a thousand soldiers including boots, shirts, trousers, coats and caps. The founder of SMF, Mr Sam Matekane, has reduced the force of the military to the rescue of Basotho people.

“Patients are not treated well and given warm treatment at a hospital that will continue to be honored for providing warm services. We urge them to do the same and to continue to be patient.

It is my belief that the uniforms we have distributed to these soldiers will inspire them and make them active in their work, ”he said. He commended the Lesotho military for its hard work in apprehending and training deadly criminals, robbers and civilians.

He pointed out that it is a tragedy when minors who even include girls inside join these evil organizations. He urged the military commander to do the same with his staff.

He thanked all the good work done by the Lesotho military, thanked his colleagues who made the project a success, and thanked Afri-Expo Textile for its hard work in sewing the garment.

. Lesotho Army Commander Lieutenant General Mojalefa Letsoela thanked his army for the gifts. He pointed out that it may not have been six years since they last bought a military uniform.

He said he was very proud of the work done by SMF as it had also commissioned Afri-Expo Textile to make this garment for them, adding that he was happy that it was a handmade garment made by Basotho children.

He appealed to Basotho to start their own communities in preventing crime, saying that as long as they did not do so, the work of the military and police would be difficult.

SMF is an independent organization founded in 2021, providing grants to the Basotho community for self-improvement and self-reliance to support families.
