Africa-Press – Lesotho. Lesana Financial Services has donated a brand new jersey to the National Security Services (NSS) football team. They will wear the jersey in their Legend Masters competition.

The jersey, believed to worth around M15 000, includes a full match kit with shirts, shorts and socks and the goalkeepers’ kit. Speaking at the handover of the kit, Lesana Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Seabata Nteko said this is a start of a relationship with the security institution.

He said it is also part of their responsibility to give back to the community. Lesana offers loans to Basotho and with the money they get they can start businesses, invest in education or use the money to improve their lives.

Nteko said Lesana’s aim is to not make life difficult for their clients, but to improve it. “We thank you very much, I think this is a sign that we see this as important and it is important because as Lesana it is our way of saying thank you for the relationship.

It’s not one way, it’s not just in our interest that there is something we are getting from the NSS but also for us to give back,” he said. “I also think it is a relationship that we have started to work together, maybe this is small but in future there will be something big.

I think it is a start of good things going forward. I always say as Lesana people look at us differently, it looks like we only want to give people money and make their life difficult, it is not our purpose at all,” he said.

Nteko said they want to be seen to be offering solutions to their clients’ financial needs wherever they are in the country. “Our aim is to grow Basotho and their businesses, improve their lives, if Basotho want to take their kids to school we will help.

We have branches everywhere even in Qacha’s Nek,” he said. “We want to be seen to be giving solutions to financial needs wherever they are, I advise you to take the money from Lesana to go make money if you do that it’s easy to pay it back. Whatever business that you would have started, that business will stay,” he said.
