Africa-Press – Lesotho. A total of 47 patients who had gone to India last year for cancer and kidney treatment arrived in Lesotho last week with their ailments reportedly in remission.
Their long suffering is a thing of the past thanks to the Lesotho ministry of health and Apollo Hospital in India who have signed an agreement to treat qualifying patients in India. A group of doctors from the Apollo Hospital arrived in Lesotho last week to screen more patients and send them to India for treatment.
According to the minister of health Nkaku Kabi, the 47 form a second batch of patients who were treated for both cancer and kidney failure in India after the first batch received similar treatment earlier in 2018.
