Africa-Press – Lesotho. The leader of the Alliance of Democrats (AD), Professor Ntoi Rapapa, says the party’s Disciplinary Committee is yet to establish the root cause of letters received by the National Executive Committee from eight constituencies, which reportedly cite a motion of no confidence against him.

Professor Rapapa made these remarks during a press conference held at the party’s headquarters in Maseru on Thursday.

He said that, to the party’s great dismay, some constituencies submitted two conflicting letters, one quoting a motion of no confidence in the leader and another expressing satisfaction and continued support for his leadership.

Professor Rapapa noted that some of the complaints raised in the letters include allegations of unfair job allocations and a reported lack of trust in the party leader.

He, however, emphasised that the Disciplinary Committee has not yet concluded its investigations and is still in the process of establishing the authenticity of the letters, the circumstances under which they were written, and the actual concerns raised by party members.

He further appealed for calm within the party, assuring members that internal party processes will be followed to address the matter transparently and in accordance with the party constitution.
