Arsenal Parts Ways with 20 Players Ahead of New Season

Africa-Press – Lesotho. Arsenal has officially confirmed the departure of 20 players whose contracts will expire at the end of June. This announcement aligns with the Premier League’s end-of-season roster update and includes players across the men’s first team, youth academy, and women’s squad. Among the notable names leaving North London are Italian-Brazilian midfielder Jorginho and England international Raheem Sterling.

Arsenal released a statement thanking those departing: “These include male players and scholarship players who have represented the club at first team, under-21, and under-18 level, as well as members of our women’s team, whose departures were previously announced.” While some exits were expected, others mark the end of quieter spells at the Emirates.

Alongside Jorginho and Sterling, the list features Kieran Tierney, Salah-Eddine Oulad M’Hand, Lina Hurtig, Amanda Ilestedt, and several academy prospects such as Nathan Butler-Oyedeji and Khayon Edwards. Arsenal’s squad is now poised for a summer rebuild, with Mikel Arteta likely to bring in fresh faces as the club prepares for the 2025/26 campaign.
