Spanish forward Fran Navarro drew first blood for Braga in the 17th minute at Estadio da Luz.
Brazilian defender Robson Bambu made it 2-0 for the visitors in the 40th minute to end the first half scoring.
Benfica’s Brazilian forward Arthur Mendonca Cabral tallied the only goal for the hosts in the 77th minute.
Benfica are in the third spot in the Primera Liga with 38 points. Braga trails with 31 points.
