Africa-Press – Lesotho. MarkPro Inc hosted an event dubbed “Women of Essence” yesterday at Zhong Nan Restaurant in Maseru to raise funds for charity. One of the founders of MarkPro Inc, Moleboheng Mohapi, explained that the event was to raise funds to donate sewing machines to a former inmate.
The inmate, through Rev Tebatso Molapo, approached them for assistance citing he had been rehabilitated and was ready to face the world. “We realised how highly skilled the ex-inmate was and decided to host this event to help raise funds to buy sewing machines as we believe his business has potential to create many more jobs,” Mohapi said.
A motivating panel comprising Advocate Mothepa Ndumo, Rev Tebatso Molapo, Herry Nkhets’e and Dr Sekete tackled issues of leadership skills, confidence, financial Independence and entrepreneurship as well as relationship and marriage therapy.
Lesedi Fm’s morning drive show presenter Ts’olo Leokaoke also graced the occasion and emphasisied in his speech that men and women are equal. He said he detests the cliché: “Behind every successful man there is a woman”.
“Why should the woman be behind when she can be beside?” he quipped.
