Africa-Press – Lesotho. Pule Communications International has established Pule Communications International Network (PCIN) which is an internet based television network that can work on
any television set, both smart TVs and analogue. It is aimed at broadcasting local content from movies, dramas, soapies, documentaries, music videos, news and talk shows.
Currently PCIN has one channel – PCIN channel 1. Contacted for more information on this innovative product, PCIN Founder Kevin Pule highlighted that to view the channels, one needs to purchase a Network
Receiving Device (NRD). The NRD works as a decoder but without a dish or satellite. “As a film producer, I came into contact with people who, like myself have a lot of
content but no platform to showcase this content, and this was slowly killing the motivation for me to continue producing more films and content of that
sort. So I decided to start a network that will give a platform to all these content producers for them to showcase and earn from their work,” he said.
So far the company has three internal shows, being, the Breakfast with Lelo Mlonyeni, the Hot Seat and It’s on The Menu. Pule indicated that more shows will be aired soon.
“Basotho will finally have their own private television network and not rely on the
content or channels from other countries. PCIN is a fully independent network and it is free for content producers. They are further motivated through free adverts which will play during their shows,” Pule said. The company Pule Communications International was launched in 2016.
