The CAF “B” category coaching diploma course concluded in Juba, with the closing ceremony presided over by South Sudan Football Federation President Francis Amin Michael and attended by his two deputies, First Vice President Mr Makur Majok and Second Vice President Mr Deng Abdul Rahman.
Held over several months under the supervision of national experts and with oversight from the Confederation of African Football, the program drew wide participation from the football community, with more than 24 national coaches taking part.
The course included three female coaches — the first time in South Sudan’s football history that women have obtained the CAF B Diploma — marking a key milestone in advanced coaching education.
The closing ceremony was attended by members of the federation’s leadership, presidents of local associations, the Upper Nile State Minister of Culture and Sports, Hon. Paulino Onyaw, as well as several athletes and technical experts, underscoring the importance placed on coach development.
The course’s technical component was supervised by Dr Saliyi Lolaku, National Coach Bilal Felix, and expert Dr Peter James.
