Africa-Press – Lesotho. The Principal Chief of Ha Majara, Chieftainess ‘Mamolapo Majara wished King Letsie III a happy 62nd birthday.
Speaking with the Agency on Monday, Chieftainess Majara leading the ‘Maroala’ community in Berea, where the national event will be held, indicated that Maroala, Mats’ekha and Lioli are ready to host the birthday.
She explained that the national ceremony calls all Basotho to put their differences aside, unite and rebuild love ahead of the big day.
“The district celebration will be on Wednesday at Bela-Bela playground under Principal Chief Peete Lesaoana Peete, where different activities will be showcased. These will be followed by the national one at Pitso House.”
All these will be done in line with the theme ‘Peace to all Basotho,’ urging all to come and rejoice with them.
Therefore, she mentioned that this auspicious ceremony comes after the Bicentennial, marking another 200 years of Basotho existence this year.
The last time Maroala, Lioli and Mats’ekha hosted King’s birthday was in 2011. It is anticipated that after the 17th July, 2025 birthday, the next activity in this district will be after nine years from now.
