MASERU – The Ministry of Health on Thursday received the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) from the Chinese Embassy in Maseru.
The PPE comprises 50 000 surgical masks, 10 000 respirators, 50 ventilators, 200 thermometers and 40 oxygen machines, which took two month on sea from China to Lesotho.
“We are indeed grateful for these donations, it shows how strong our relationship with China is, and I hope this will increase the number of recoveries,” said Deputy Minister of Health Nto Moakhi.
“This equipment took two months to arrive here, however, this shows how committed we are to Lesotho.
There are still many more donations to come,” said Chinese Ambassador to Lesotho Lei Kezhong.
