Africa-Press – Lesotho. Lesotho is a smaller country in Africa and it is landlocked by South Africa. This is our country of origin where we hail as Basotho. We cry for this beautiful land; the Kingdom in the sky.
It is not by chance or coincidence that this nation was founded by our King Moshoeshoe I in the olden days during the times of trouble in Africa. Moshoeshoe I thought against white domination crying for his beloved country not only to own larger portion of land but to rescue innocent lives.
Suffice to say, Moshoeshoe I also known as Letlama played a major role as Moses to just cross over the Red Sea with the Israelites (Basotho) from Egypt in this regard.
Tears of anguish clouded in his eyes as cannibals captured and slaughtered his grandfather Peete on the way from Menkhoaneng to Thaba-Bosiu, trying to rescue his nation.
The great Moshoeshoe I never surrendered instead made his way To Thaba-Bosiu where he settled for better fortress and stayed long overdue. Moshoeshoe I and his people experienced strong opposition from different sects, until he declared a continual war whereby ultimately he conquered.
Letlama has been trying to make end meet in the light of peace upon his nation as he was opposed from all spheres of life. He had that burning desire and melancholic longing to free Basotho from cruel boers striving to topple him over and have absolute control upon this beautiful land.
God never failed Moshoeshoe I. His dedication to the struggle eventually delivered rich rewards indeed as peace rained all over thereafter. Perhaps his friendship with God was very intimate because God has been Moshoeshoe’s Vindicator in the transitional phase of his life.
Letlama endured wheezing pain patiently through his body until justice was done. After setting Basotho in liberty; he made his way to the land of no return and eventually joined the multitudes.
Today Letlama is no longer alive; a cruel death had relocated him from the planet earth. Distance is now keeping us apart but it is our honest belief that in spirit we are together and we shall rejoice together in the last PARADISE.
I wholeheartedly appeal to Basotho, the so called; ‘Bana ba Nkhaolise e motšoana Thuhloana’ to cry the beloved Lesotho. All assassinations and hatred must come to a gentle stop.
Cry for this beloved Mountain Kingdom. Neither oppression nor starvation shall ruin our people anymore. Lesotho and Basotho first, we are blanketed under the glory of almighty God.
Our for beloved politicians love your motherland and and drive this nation to the greener pastures. Politics divided the whole nation as we exchange words against one another in accordance with our political regalia or affiliations.
Well, I stand to be rectified if I am mistaken to disclose this secret that politics distanced Basotho apart. Perhaps I am wrong but but Moshoeshoe never divided his nation, he and his people bonded together like glue until God did His part.
Cry the beloved Lesotho, let us uphold Moshoeshoe’s motto,”Moshoeshoe ke khaitseli ea khotso. ”Are we real Basotho or egocentric politicians? Let us be real patriots not real renegades or apostates.
Acclaim Lesotho as your country of origin where you were born and raised not just a hopeless state. Keep Lesotho clean and make it a better place. There is no need for littering around rather creates a conducive environment where our land shall be blanketed with vegetation where we breathe fresh air wafting in all directions.
I thereby endlessly call upon the hands of good Samaritans as Basotho to love their country irrespective of circumstances surrounding it in this regard.
Let us migrate from negative habits to positive habits where our positive thinking shall produce positive results. Rise up Basotho and change our negative mindsets.
It is our time to change Lesotho hence becoming winds of change. We have failed Basotho,we failed Lesotho. Failure is another steppingstone to greatness.
Tomorrow is promised to nobody thus, procrastination is our greatest weakness. THE GLORY OF GOD IS UPON LESOTHO. What more! Be ready to take bull by the horns and change Lesotho our motherland.
The economy of this country can be used systematically to benefit every citizen across the whole nation. As I said before, I stand to be corrected if needs be.
Above all, when we are down to nothing as Basotho God is up to something. Sooner if not later, we shall proclaim victory in our motherland hence do everything in your power to rise and shine.
In retrospect,we see how far Lesotho has come…but looking forward,we see how much more potential the present and the future can hold for us. Small daily improvements over time lead to stunning results.
They say. Well, let us cry the beloved Lesotho. This is the only beautiful land from which we were born and raised so our task is to protect and love this country of our forefathers.
Lesotho an enclaved country in Southern Africa where we joyfully sing our National Anthem; ‘Lesotho, land of our fathers’. Let us come together as Basotho, be concrete and unified hence together rejoicing in the Lord the mighty God.
Through darkness and era,Moshoeshoe I battled his enemies until justice was done thus defeating the so called Boers. Today we are free Basotho liberated by the King Moshoeshoe I.
Respect one another and cry for this beloved country. Respect is one of the important cornerstones of character. Our success in this venture in the aftermath of the implementation would spell that the ice is sold to the Eskimos. Anyway, I stand to be corrected thus, Sesotho adage; “Mooa khotla h’a tsekisoe.”
