Furthermore, as the competition focused on Hindi poetry, the Acting President reiterated the importance of putting poetry and Hindi language at the forefront of education and bringing it to a wider audience.

The Acting President emphasised that Hindi poetry carries the cultural heritage of the Republic of India and acts as a means for the traditions, stories, and values of the country to be passed on from generation to generation worldwide.

On that score, he averred that there is a lot of work to be done in the field of Hindi poetry so that future generations show more interest in this regard.

Mr Boissezon hence commended the initiative of the Hindi Speaking Union for the organisation of this competition as it will encourage the youths to connect to the exploration of all that is beautiful in this world through poetry.
