Africa-Press – Lesotho. Dairy farmers are attending a four-day training aimed at capacitating them with skills meant to increase their agricultural produce.
The training, organised by Lesotho National Dairy Board (LNDB) hand in glove with Milk Producers Organisation (MPO) of South Africa (SA). It is part of efforts meant to eradicate poverty and hunger by promoting sustainable agriculture through milk production.
LNDB Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Abiel Mashale said through this training, their overall target is to develop dairy industry value chain.
“For us to increase milk production, there is need to capacitate farmers to enhance nutrition and healthy living,” he stressed.
In the same note, the Trainer, Mr. Ronald Rapholo of SA said Lesotho has potential of producing more so as to feed the nation, create employment as well as for exporting, hence today’s capacity building workshop.
