Africa-Press – Lesotho. Leader of DC Mathibeli Mokhothu says once DC wins the coming elections, they will invest in agriculture and ensure that farmers get seeds and manure at 50 percent discount in order to increase food security.

He further noted that the government will rehabilitate grazelands as a way to support wool and mohair farmers in ensuring better production of the fibre.

He said the DC will prioritize the security sector, pointing out that the government will evaluate training of police officers and enhance it where needed to ensure that police are well trained and capable of fighting the escalating crime in the country.

Mokhothu also promised to avail resources for the police department which he says are a main issue police are failing to deliver their mandate as expected.

Among the promised was also free secondary education, exchange programmers for teachers and seeking investors to invest in the textile industry to mention a few.

Mokhothu was delivering his speech at the 10th anniversary of the DC where thousands of supporters joined in songs, praise and dancing to the DC political beats. The celebration in TY follows a campaign where the party canvassed support and awarded donations mainly to street vendors and senior citizens.
