Global service providers play an important role as they supply fast international connections with high reliability and security between the corporate and residential infrastructures and major cloud providers operating on a geographic scale, and are therefore among the players in the ongoing transformation process.

Sparkle, among the top global service providers worldwide and the second largest operator in Africa in terms of Internet traffic, provides international connectivity and digital services to the African continent and particularly in North Africa, thanks to its extensive network running around the continent, to its points of presence (PoPs) in Nigeria, Morocco and Djibouti, and to its strategic Sicily Hub, the main exchange point for Internet traffic from Africa to Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

Its services include IP, capacity, cloud, data center, mobile data and voice and are delivered over a proprietary backbone of more than 600,000 km of fiber spanning from Europe to Africa, the Americas and Asia.

By using Sparkle’s services, national and regional telecommunication operators and ISPs can in turn offer high speed internet access, cloud, roaming and many other international telecommunication services to their end-users.

Through a partnership with Sparkle, multinational companies can undertake digital transformation in a progressive and targeted manner, through 360° support on all aspects involved – network, cloud, security and management.

In fact, Sparkle’s digital services range from secure connectivity solutions – connecting, for example, a company’s offices distributed in various parts of the world – to Cloud and Multicloud, to steer companies in their digitalization journey, and IoT to control their assets.

A constantly evolving network, as the operator has partnered with Google and others on the construction of the Blue and Raman submarine cable system, a new intercontinental infrastructure stretching from Italy to India with branches in the Mediterranean and Red seas among the route, aimed at improving communications between Africa, Europe, the Middle East and South Asia. By providing infrastructures, advanced connectivity and digital services, Sparkle contributes to the digital transformation of the continent.
