Africa-Press – Lesotho. In efforts to harness relations with its beneficiaries, the European Union (EU) held a ceremony in honour of the beneficiaries of the European Union Visitors programme(EUVP) in Maseru on Wednesday.

Speaking at this event, one of the Beneficiaries of this programme who is a journalist Mr. Rapelang Radebe said that the programme has brought a lot of value and impact as it has displayed measures which EU has in place to retail and maintain the relationship with Africa.

He indicated that the relationship between EU and Africa now goes beyond Aid as it has now diverted into trade.

Mr. Radebe added that it is through such initiatives that Lesotho can see itself as a partner with other development partners and not just a beneficiary.

On the other hand, the Principal Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources Ms. Relebohile Lebeta said that the support that the European Union has offered to Lesotho goes beyond explanation as it goes recognised by initiatives such as the ReNoka catchment projects which is currently implemented in Lesotho.
