Africa-Press – Lesotho. As part of its mandate to support violated women, women in prison and women from all walks of life, Female in Africa Lesotho (FAL) organization will host a fundraising event on March
11th at Ha-Thetsane in order to gather funds to support women in need. In an interview with Female in Africa
Lesotho Chapter Chairperson Ntahli Griffiths, Informative Newspaper learned that the funds raised from the event will help violated women, women in prison, refugee women and young girls who were violated and those in need of
different essential support. While explaining what the organization does, Ntahli said “We are women that understand love is truly an action of forgiving and letting go of our past and failures.
We are supportive of each other, non-judgmental and connecting to becoming better in what we do. ” She disclosed that the Lesotho Chapter was launched in May last year and is open to anyone 18 years and above,
inclusive of men who support women. She opined that the organization in Lesotho aims to have a shelter that will accommodate violated and refugee women while
trying to get them help. One of the members of the organization Mphonyane Tamane said ever since joining the organization, she has seen a great impact on women.
She held that women from abusive relationships are empowered without judgement, young girls have been dignified and women come together to share their everyday challenges at the environment that does not
criticize them. Female in Africa Lesotho is a chapter of the Female in Africa International Humanitarian, Empowerment and Non-profit Organization whose purpose is to bring all women together on one platform to
support each other, advocate and give voice to the voiceless. It is a group of women of purpose, greatness and trailblazers for other women that have ever felt like they have been hit hard by life.
