Africa-Press – Lesotho. Farmers in the rural areas of Botha-Bothe are optimistic that this year’s harvest will be better than last year’s, thanks to consistent rainfall throughout the summer season.

Speaking to the Lesotho News Agency, Mr. Ratoba Ramakesana from Solane, Ha Moetsuoa, expressed hope that this year’s summer cropping would yield a good harvest, unlike last year when prolonged dry spells devastated crops.

“Despite the high temperatures, our maize crops are thriving. The plants are already showing signs of a good harvest, and we are excited because this means we will have enough food to last the year without worrying about buying maize meal,” he said.
