Africa-Press – Lesotho. Maritintsi Lekotoko (55) of Lithabaneng appeared before the Maseru Magistrate Court charged with contravening the provisions of section 68(1) read with section 109 of Penal Code Act No.6 of 2010 (fraud).
The said accused on August 02, 2021 near Land Administration Authority (LAA) offices in the district of Maseru, the said accused did unlawfully and intentionally and fraudulently procured the registration or issue of a lease or other title instrument relating to the land by fraudulently declaring himself as the rightful heir to the estate of the late Makhaboli and Komanyane Lekotoko.
The charge was read to the accused in the language that he understands. He was advised about his right to bail and legal representation of his own choice including the services of the legal aid.
The accused told the court that he already has a legal representative and that he applied to be admitted into bail.
