Africa-Press – Lesotho. Philosopher and sociologist Bruno Latour, considered one of the greatest contemporary French intellectuals, has died at the age of 75, his publisher Éditions La Découverte announced this Sunday.
“Editions La Découverte is saddened to learn of the death of Bruno Latour last night (Saturday) in Paris. All our thoughts go out to his family and loved ones,” the editor writes, in a statement sent to Agence France-Presse. (AFP).
Bruno Latour was, as the New York Times wrote in 2018, “the most famous and misunderstood of French philosophers”. The author highlighted ecological issues and the climate crisis and won the Holberg Prize (2013) and the Kyoto Prize (2021).
