Africa-Press – Lesotho. Friendly and Foods is a newly opened restaurant located at Lake side, with exceptionally friendly services and readily available meals. The eatery started its operation in July this year as an implementation of a long
awaited dream by Rethabile Tšephe, who manages and directs the establishment. It offers mouthwatering meals such as quarter leg, Itis, sea food, double patty
melt, kota and breakfast, inclusive of waffles, muffins and cappuccino among others. Speaking in an exclusive interview with Informative Newspaper, Tšephe
explained that she did not go to culinary school however she and her husband saw a business opportunity and decided to crab it. “We have always had a desire to open a fast foods business but little did we know
that it would happen so fast,” she said, adding that they have also hired a professional chef to help in the kitchen and two other people. She noted that
the business has brought so much exposure in their lives as they are learning a lot on daily basis. Friendly and Foods aims at taking care of its customers by providing what customers want,
“In meals like kotas, there are people who will be telling us what to and what not to include while preparing them and this is where ‘friendliness comes in,” she said. They
also do deliveries around town and outside, with transport charges depending on the distance. Tšepe said the biggest challenge is Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic
which has affected many people’s cash flow and restricted movements and gatherings. “Starting a business in the current conditions is very challenging, but this does not mean we have to give in,” she indicated
and continued to say that they decided to partner with Finite Magazine Lifestyle Club to gain exposure, hence more customers. Friendly and Foods also use social
media platforms for advertisement. They offer 5% to 10% discount to Finite Magazine Lifestyle club members who buytwo meals and above. Friendly and Foods regular customer, Tebatso Tšiu said Friendly and Foods sells
mouthwatering food at very affordable prices. He added that he appreciates the different flavors they provide in their meals especially their kotas. “I
wouldn’t even hesitate to recommend other people to visit Friendly and Foods to buy their meals because they are indeed mouthwatering and they also have a warm hospitality,” said Tšiu.
