Africa-PressLesotho. The Ministry of Health today donated reading materials (Braille), radios and flash drives to visually disabled people.

The Director General of Health, Dr ’Nyane Letsie said the donations to visually impaired persons was on the instruction of the minister of health who is keen to help people with disabilities to learn about the Covid-19 pandemic with ease.

Speaking on behalf of the Lesotho National League of Visually Impaired Persons (LNLVIP), Jeremane Teele indicated that the organisation is very grateful to the ministry and they hope this will not be the last donation they have received from the ministry.

This is the second donation after the first one when they received only the reading materials.

Teele said the organisation will distribute the gifts to the 10 districts of Lesotho.

“We are very grateful to Global Fund that has donated these learning materials to us as a ministry to be donated to visually impaired persons.

I also plead with the Director General of Health Dr.

‘Nyane Letsie for the visually impaired to be vaccinated at this premises to reduce this Covid-19 pandemic,” Minister of Health, Semano Sekatle said.
