IACOV PREPARES FOR PHASE OUT

Africa-Press – Lesotho. As part of activities to prepare for phasing out of Improving Adaptive Capacity of Vulnerable and Food Insecure population (IACOV) project in the district, representatives from key departments in implementation of the project activities attended a one-day workshop on formation of by-laws held at a local guest house Upper Moyeni.

Speaking at the same event, the Quthing District Council Secretary Mrs. ‘Marelebohile Ntsukunyane commended the project for ensuring that different key stakeholders are involved during planning and implementation of the project activities.

She highlighted that involvement of key stakeholders such as different government departments and local authorities in community development projects ease their implementation promote public participation and protection for sustainability of such projects activities.

The Range Management Officer from the Ministry of Environment, Forestry, Range Management, Water and soil conservation Mr. Manti Makha said that IACOV is is a four year project implemented since 2020 and Community assets such as orchards and communal gardens implemented during project period at village level are expected to continue for improvement of community lives.
