Africa-Press – Lesotho. A local Actor and Film Producer Puseletso Sekese attests that her ambition for filming has indeed seen the light of the day. Overwhelmed by her current footprints

in the industry, she shared some strategies she has utilized to make her desire for short stories escalate. She says her dream has always been to transform her

film passion into a career not just a hobby as it is usually perceived to be. Sekese says she natured her talent as early as primary school level where she was greatly inspired by Television

stars and she never ceased wanting to learn more. “In order to pursue my dream, I worked effortlessly to ensure that it turns into reality and I finally joined

the film industry in 2012 where I was just performer,” she said. She says due to her continued involvement and dedication, she became a film maker and

director of some locally produced films in 2019 regardless of the complications, most of which affect the entire industry. She explained that though it has been

a complex task to produce films, she is coping. “Since I started acting in 2012, I participated in short stories like ’Bophelo’, ’Palesa’, The light, Meokho and some

awaiting movies for broadcast like ‘The ghost’, ‘Mosikong’ and ‘Thoughts’ which will soon be released,” she said. Sekese clarified that the film called “Bophelo” is the one that is televised at Lesotho Television (Ltv) on

Wednesdays at 19:00 and repeats on Thursday 09:00 weekly. “I get stimulation from international filmmakers like Denzel Washington and Tyler Perry, I follow their remarkable footprints

to do more,” she said. Reflecting on the slow growth of the industry in the country, Sekese urged those holding powerful positions in the country to enhance the film industry in order to motivate youth to venture into it for

reduction of high unemployment rate. “Some people can live through their talents,” she charged. Having spent close to a decade in film production, Sekese advised forthcoming film producers and actors to be enthusiastic with their work and talent and ensure that whatever they do publicizes projected message to the intended audience.
