He noted that over four decades, His Majesty King Mswati III has guided the Kingdom of Eswatini through complex political, social and economic challenges, providing steady and indispensable leadership.

His Majesty King Letsie III further commended the role played by King Mswati III in maintaining national unity and stability, highlighting his ability to offer calm and a clear moral direction at critical moments requiring principled decision-making.

In his address, His Majesty King Mswati III reflected on his coronation 40 years ago, expressing gratitude to the people of Eswatini for their unwavering support since ascending to the throne at the age of 18.

He acknowledged the journey from then to now, noting the transformation of Eswatini into a developing and stable nation. He further credited the support of the Queen Mother, Ndlovukati Ntombi Tfwala, and the nation at large for the progress achieved.

His Majesty King Mswati III concluded by highlighting key developments identified during his reign, including improvements in the health sector, economic growth, infrastructure development, education, and social welfare.

King Mswati III, born Makhosetive Dlamini on 19 April 1968, was crowned Ngwenyama on 25 April 1986. The Kingdom of Eswatini is currently marking a dual celebration of His Majesty’s 58th birthday and the 40-year Ruby Jubilee of his reign.

King Mswati III has been a prominent figure in Eswatini since his coronation in 1986, becoming the youngest monarch at the time.
