Speaking during the visit, His Majesty King Letsie III thanked his hosts and indicated that the initiatives support his role as Nutrition Champion, noting that the ideas implemented in Malealea are innovative, intriguing and inspiring to visitors from outside the community.

Principal Chief Moholobela M. Moholobela of Matelile expressed gratitude to His Majesty for the visit, indicating that the community, once affected by crime, will now be recognised for life-giving and development-focused projects.

Mr Kenneth Dunn stated that Basotho own abundant natural resources that can be utilized to drive job creation, improved nutrition and successful agricultural endeavors.

His Majesty was appointed the African Union [AU] champion for nutrition in 2014 and since then he had been global and continental leader in the fight against hunger and malnutrition who had been persuading African governments to prioritize nutrition and promote traditional foods.
