Africa-Press – Lesotho. The Lesotho Football Association (LeFA) President Advocate Salemane Phafane (KC) has been elected to serve in the FIFA Governance, Audit, and Compliance Committee by the 75th FIFA Congress.
Mikia Kalati, the association’s Media and Communication Manager, reports that the elections that were held in Asuncion, Paraguay saw LeFA President assuming a new role effective from May 2025 to May 2029, and this comes as he had just concluded a four-year term serving in the FIFA Disciplinary Committees.
Kalati explained that in this election, Adv. Phafane got 186 votes from World Football Leaders with only two countries voting against the LeFA President.
He noted that Adv. Phafane’s performance on the local and international stage has always attracted and impressed international leaders over having served in different capacities at COSAFA, CAF and FIFA.
