Africa-Press – Lesotho. Lesotho flag in all government ministries and parastatals nationwide is flown at half-mast on Wednesday in honour of the late renowned human rights lawyer, politician and statesman Advocate Haae Phoofolo KC.

Mr. Lits’oeneng Tiheli, Assistant Public Relations Officer at Ministry of Local Government, Chieftainship, Home Affairs and Police noted that flags are flown at half mast as a symbol of respect, mourning and reverence to the national treasure in the case of Advocate Phoofolo.

Mr. Tiheli further noted that this is done to honour the late statesman, human rights lawyer and to recognize his immense contribution to the development of his country.

The latter also indicated that the late Haae Phoofolo will be given an official burial on Friday 05 September 2025.

Advocate Haae Phoofolo KC was trusted by different regimes to hold key positions such as Interim Prime Minister of Lesotho, Minister of Justice, Human Rights, Correctional Service and Law and Constitutional Affairs, Attorney General of Lesotho and Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Lesotho.
