Africa-Press – Lesotho. The Professional Management Review (PMR) Africa has awarded Lesotho Funeral Services (LFS) the highest award in the business sector commonly known as the Diamond Arrow Award.
This comes after a country wide survey PMR conducted early this year within March and April. LFS was rated 4.21 out of 5.00 and such ratings were based on the perceptions of the respondents.
The study was based on random national sampling of 100 respondents comprising of Chief Executive Officers, Managing Directors, Business Owners and Government Officials based in Lesotho. The award was intended for companies or institutions deemed to have done the most to enhance economic growth and development of Lesotho.
The Sales and Marketing Officer, at Lesotho Funeral Services, Mrs Mamahooana Chokobane confirmed that the company was not aware of the study conducted by PMR as they only found out when they were invited to the awards giving ceremony as winners of the award.
“Every award that we receive definitely puts more pressure on us to deliver excellent services. This is not the first award.
We have been recognized in different categories where we received awards for excellence and quality, outstanding leadership and immeasurable contribution to the business world,” she highlighted.
She revealed their secret of success is derived from the ability to work as a team, where management and the staff work hand in hand regardless of their positions.
She thanked Basotho for their long term support over the past three decades that the company has been in existence. She showed appreciation for the nation-wide branches established, with Maseru leading with the most branches.
According to her, they have managed to come this far because they consider their clients as their number one priority. “We always learn from our mistakes and work hard to rectify them while we also give our clients an opportunity to voice their opinions regarding our services,” she added.
