Her excellency Ms. Nts’iuoa Sekete, an Ambassador and Lesotho representative based at Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of Lesotho in Addis Ababa in Ethiopia, hosted Retired Major General Ferdinand Safari, Director of The Dallaire Institute for Children, Peace and Security, for a courtesy visit at the Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of Lesotho in Addis Ababa.
The courtesy visit was meant to exchange focus and vision on strengthening Africa’s collective response to the protection of children in conflict and fragile settings and advancing integrated approaches that link child protection, peace and security across Africa as a Continent.
As Vice Chair of the Africa Platform on Children affected by Armed Conflicts (APCAAC), H. E Ambassador Ntsiuoa Sekete affirmed Lesotho’s strong commitment to promoting the protection, rights and welfare of African children, particularly those fragile and vulnerable affected by conflicts on a daily basis.
The two leaders explored opportunities for collaboration between The Dallaire Institute, African Union mechanisms, and continental initiatives with a shared vision of translating policy into practical protection and lasting impact for Africa’s children.
Lesotho is grateful and impressed by Major General Safari for his compassionate leadership and continued dedication to safeguarding the most vulnerable Children throughout the Continent.
