LESOTHO SIGNS TWO SADC PROTOCOLS

Africa-Press – Lesotho. The Government of Lesotho signed two key Southern African Development Community (SADC) Protocols: the SADC Protocol on Statistics and the SADC Protocol on Employment and Labour on Tuesday in Maseru.

According to information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Relations, this is reaffirming the country’s commitment to regional integration, good governance, and evidence-based development.

It states that the Protocol on Statistics, approved by SADC Heads of State in 2021, provides a legal framework for cooperation in statistical development, data harmonization, and innovation across the region. It also promotes the use of reliable, timely, and high-quality data to guide planning, policy, and decision-making at all levels.
