The Lesotho Institute of Accountants (LIA) will host a Council Update Gala Dinner on November 14, following the recent election of its 48th Council, which marks a new chapter in the Institute’s efforts to strengthen governance, accountability, and professional excellence within the accounting sector.
In a statement released by the Institute, Chief Executive Officer Ms. ’Malisebo Ntlhokoe said the event will serve both as a commemoration and as an engagement platform for council members, partners, and stakeholders in the accounting profession.
She highlighted that this event is not only a celebration of the newly elected Council but also a reaffirmation of LIA’s commitment to uphold high standards of integrity, professionalism and transparency within the accounting field.
The gala dinner is expected to bring together members of the accounting fraternity, government representatives, development partners, and members of the business community. It will provide an opportunity for the new Council to share its strategic priorities, plans for strengthening the profession, and initiatives aimed at aligning LIA’s work with national development goals.
