Africa-Press – Lesotho. Lesotho Mounted Police Service (LMPS) received a trailer from LMPS Chaplaincy Pastor Prof. Euksu Kim as an assistance for LMPS Chaplaincy to carry food parcels to
the less privileged people. Reacting to the gesture, Commissioner of Police (COMPOL) Holomo Molibeli conveyed his gratitude for the gift they received.
He stated that Kim has done a lot for LMPS, explaining that he left his home to nurture LMPS Chaplaincy. He said in 2014, Kim started working with LMPS by ensuring that it has a
Chaplaincy. He informed that he worked with Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police Bohang Lintle Phasumane to ensure that the plan becomes a success.
He added that with the effort they both made, LMPS Chaplaincy was put to work in 2018. He said Kim taught the Chaplaincy to understand matters related to religion.
For his part, Prof. Kim thanked the COMPOL’s support as well as Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police. “Last year, LMPS Chaplaincy helped 350 families from May until
December,” he said. He stated that till to date, they continue to help vulnerable people in different districts and villages with food packages. He added that in the name of LMPS
Chaplaincy, there are 300 vulnerable families in different districts which are to be helped by the Chaplaincy. “We recognised that if we have proper equipment
to carry on with our charity work, we can reach out to more people. That is why we decided to have a new trailer to carry the food packages,” he explained.
Kim highlighted that with the new trailer, the Chaplaincy can now travel the whole of Lesotho to help people. Minister of Police and Public Safety Hon.
Lepota Sekola gave a vote of thanks for the donation. “Thank you so much for this valuable gift, Pastor Kim and indeed a useful property. This trailer will expedite efforts of LMPS of upholding law
and order in Lesotho. You also decided to be here with us and spend your busiest time gracing this occasion. Your generosity has enlightened our minds and has shown us new path,” said Sekola.
