Africa-Press – Lesotho. The Semonkong based B-Division team Mahlaseli Football Club (FC) has announced yet another death of its right back player Teboho ‘Q’ Qhobosheane who succumbed to
stab wounds on March 11th. Mahlaseli also lost a player in December 2020 in a similar manner. Mahlaseli FC Public Relations Officer (PRO) Leepo Mabusa on Thursday in an exclusive interview with
Informative Sport narrated that Qhobosheane lost his life following an alteration with one of the residents which resulted in the latter stabbing the player to death.
He mentioned that Qhobosheane will be laid to rest on Saturday March 27th at Ha-Tšiu in Maseru. Mabusa highlighted that Qhobosheane was a young vibrant player, whom Mahlaseli was
still expecting to benefit from. “The team has lost a great talent, as Q was a regular in the first team and was trusted to help the team. We are saddened by
the death of Q and therefore we pass our heartfelt condolences to the grieving Qhobosheane family as the child is theirs; have raised and known him very well,”
he added. Meanwhile, the Lesotho Football Association (LeFA) on Wednesday issued a statement which showed that it received the sad news of the passing away of the Likuena
midfielder Tšotleho Jane’s mother Majane Claudina Jane. Likuena’s midfielder who has been in camp with the team was immediately excused from the camp to
mourn with his family. “Words cannot describe our sympathy as an association to Tšotleho and the bereaved family during this difficult time. Our heartfelt condolences to the family, our
hearts and prayers are with them. We can only be grateful for her role in nurturing Tšotleho who has proved to be a national asset as a football player and has represented his country at the highest level,” LeFA statement said in pertinent part.
