MAKOANYANE SQUARE EMERGES AS A STUDY HUB FOR STUDENTS

Students have found a conducive environment where they meet to study, share ideas and shape their futures at Makoanyane Square.

Karabo Kheo, a first-year student at Limkokwing University of Creative Technology, said she found relief and motivation at Makoanyane Square. “The park became a source of hope for me.

It is where I refresh my mind before tackling my schoolwork. As someone who struggles to focus on noisy environments, this space has become my safe haven,” she said. Kheo further said the square has positively impacted her academic performance by providing an environment that allows her to concentrate and perform better. Similarly, Lerato Lephallo, also a first-year student at Limkokwing University of Creative Technology, said she found her ideal study space at Makoanyane Square, noting that she needs some level of noise to focus.

She explained that at school and at home she is often distracted by silence and other surrounding sounds, while the movement of cars and people at the square helps her maintain concentration. “I have been doing well in my studies since I started using the square. I advise other students who struggle to focus at their homes or schools to come to the square and do their schoolwork,” said Lephallo. Makoanyane Square is increasingly becoming an important space for students, offering an environment that supports both academic and social development.
